Twenty Prague districts ban fireworks all year. Fines up to a hundred thousand

A city by-law in force since 8 July 2026 bans the setting off of category F2 and higher pyrotechnics in twenty districts, all year and without exception. It applies to sporting fixtures and other events too, regardless of whether anything is on. Breaching it carries a fine of up to a hundred thousand koruna; that figure comes from the Prague 20 town hall, the city's own statement omits it. Neither statement lists which twenty districts are covered.
