Fake money changers gave tourists in central Prague worthless Belarusian roubles, losses topped 30,000 crowns
Prague detectives detained two foreigners who offered tourists near Wenceslas Square and Prague Castle a good rate for euros and dollars and handed over invalid Belarusian banknotes instead of crowns; the damage exceeded 30,000 crowns. Both received suspended sentences and were expelled for several years. On Alšovo nábřeží an off-duty detective caught two foreign women stealing from the backpack of a 78-year-old woman, and one of them was streaming the theft live on social media. Both were given two-year suspended sentences and expelled for three years.
